Fluidised bed furnace

General Information

ABRG has a fluidised bed furnace at its first thermal treatment line. In the fluidised bed furnace, solid, pasty and liquid industrial waste is thermally treated.
The following treatment services can be provided: R1, D10, D 15 (a,b)
The furnace has an approved annual treatment capacity of 42000 tons.

Principles of operation

The fluidised bed furnace consists of a bed of particulate, inert material (e.g. sand) in a reactor with a nozzle floor. Air is blown from below through the sand bed such that the fuel ends up in a fluidised state. The waste is thermally processed at temperatures between 850° and 950°C.
